We at Finland Center are proud to support Finnish culture in New York, and also the values we grew up with – women’s empowerment, peace, equality, human rights, education, and sustainable development, to name but a few. We also benefit from getting together to network and help each other navigate life in this fast-paced city.
Please help us do more interesting events and support our ongoing cultural work in the New York area by becoming a member of our organization! We are all volunteers and we welcome Finns and friends of Finland regardless of race, ethnicity, language, religion, sexual orientation and whether or not your like rye bread, sauna or salmiakki!
We organize concerts (both classical, jazz, and pop); book readings and panel discussions, sauna outings (to the Russian sauna), picnics with Mölkky, karaoke evenings, the annual 5K charity run in Prospect Park, or just getting together in a bar. If you have an idea for a fun or interesting activity, come do it with us! E-mail us at: info@finlandcenter.org.
By paying the annual membership fee you will have access to discounts at some events and invitations to members-only events
Most importantly, you can feel satisfied that you are supporting both Finnish culture in New York and our educational initiative providing interns from Finland with a meaningful experience for three months in New York City. To date, we have hosted over 40 young people as interns for FCF and for The Kota Alliance.
Lukemista suomeksi!
(First come, first served!) Joitain kirjoja on useita kappaleita.
(Huom.
